Lowdown: Boasting the highest rate of fire on the market,
Airgun Designs
E-Mag offers an optional warp feed (as in warp speed) facilitating 20 rounds of ammo per secondover 50 percent faster than an M-16 assault rifle. Unfortunately, the guns electronic firing mechanism limits its capability to 16 rounds per second. But trust us, 16 RPS are plenty, when youre talking about shooting your friends in the groin.
Goods: The warp feed kicks ass on several levels. The obvious one being an insane rate of fire, but also, the placement of the hopper beside the handle gives snipers one less target up high when youre trying to peer up from behind embankments, bulwarks, dead bodies, etc. In addition, the battery-powered
E-Mag can run without its battery, unlike many of its computer-assisted counterparts (including the Angel LCD). Finally, the
E-Mag outperformed all other guns in the rain.
Knocks: There aint many. The only issue with the adjustable warp feed is that its placement next to the grip took some getting used to, and interfered with the guns handling early on. Aside from that, this gun is gold.
Geek Factor: For serious paintball nerds only. With an LED readout, teched-out (read: Daytona Beach airbrushed T-shirt) design, and revolutionary warp feed, this gun would make Ted Nugent cream his jeans.
Overall: Cheaper and better than its closest competitor (the Angel LCD), this one was our favorite, prompting one of our experts to exclaim, Yee haw! Im takin this one home to the wife!
